The Chesapeake Bay Chapter is excited to bring the Antique and Classic Boat Festival back to the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum (CBMM). We are looking forward to a great, safe, and in person but most importantly, in the water and on land boat show. CBMM, our host, has made the grounds and buildings safe and enjoyable.  Some of the efforts include:

  • Cleaning protocols have been enhanced and physical-distancing measures implemented
  • Signage and floor markers have been positioned around campus to direct traffic flow, create appropriate distancing, and eliminate areas of congestion.
  • Motion sensors have replaced push button interactives in a number of locations across campus.
  • Plexiglass sneeze guards have been installed at point of sale stations in the Welcome Center and Museum Store to protect guests and staff during transactions.

We will adapt our show to meet Maryland and museum protocols. That may affect some of our chapter’s traditional social gatherings such as the river cruise, Friday night Captains Party, and Sunday awards picnic.  Please be flexible as we strive to blend a great boat show with necessary public safety.

We look forward to seeing you at the festival and once again engaging in our devotion to the preservation and enjoyment of antique and classic boating.

We will not be able to accommodate walk up registrations as in years past, so please register early to help the Boat Festival committee plan a great show. In the event your plans change, we will handle refunds in the weeks following the show.  If you have not registered by June 1st but would still like to attend our show please contact Bob Hamilton at bob.hamilton26@gmail.com or 240-672-4817 to see if we can accommodate you.
