CBC President’s Message Spring 2016
What started out as a nice Spring in March ended as one of the wettest seasons on record. All of the "to do list” things I had planned for my boat in April & May didn't get done and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
We had a rainy time at the Tavares boat show hosted by our ACBS sister-chapter, Sunnyland. And our Spring Splash event was a wash. Let's hope that the weather improves and we have a dry and sunny summer for our Boat Festival in a few weeks.
We have all been working hard on new and exciting things for this year's festival on June 17-20 at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in St Michaels, MD. We will have Drew Nugent and the Midnight Society performing their ‘20s Jazz & Big Band Sound on Saturday afternoon. Grande Yachts is bringing the newest offering from Chris-Craft. And our editor, Stephanie Ryan, along with Ray Maule, have taken over the Kids’ Program, complete with new boats and a brand new pond to run them in.
We want you all to bring your boat this year, finished or not, beautiful or well-loved, with a story for every blemish and dock rash. Tell your stories and share the history of your boat with others and enjoy a great weekend in St. Michaels.
See you on the water, having fun!
